一、培养目标 Training Target
1、掌握机械工程专业领域坚实的基础理论和宽广的专业知识,具有较强的解决工程实际问题的能力,能够承担机械工程专业技术或管理工作;具有机械工程领域创新能力、创业能力和实践能力等能力与素质,能够服务于社会经济发展。

1. Student should be command of basic theories, broad professional knowledge in Mechanical Engineering. Have ability of tackling engineering problems in reality and undertaking mechanical engineering technical and management jobs. Have the capacity for innovation, ability of entrepreneurship and practice in mechanical engineering to serve economic and social development.
2. Students should possess advanced ability to apply foreign language, as well as information retrieval and use ability.

三、学制 System
攻读工程硕士专业学位研究生学习学制为2.5~3年,培养年限一般为3年,实行学分制,所有课程的学习必须在第一学年内完成。科学研究、撰写论文的时间必须保证在l年以上。
硕士生应在规定的学习期限内完成培养计划要求的课程和学位论文,修满学分,按期毕业。
若提前完成培养计划的硕士生,并以第一作者身份(导师第一作者时,研究生必须为第二作者,均以录用为准)在一级学术刊物上发表2篇以上论文,可申请提前毕业。
如因特殊情况未能在基本学制年限内完成学习、研究任务或论文答辩的,可由本人提前三个月提出申请,指导教师签署意见,经学院同意并报研究生部审核批准,可延长学习年限,但一般不超过四年。
Normally the Engineering Master program has 2.5 to 3 years. The program adopts credit system, and all courses need to be completely within first two years. The research time for dissertation is no less than 1 year.
Graduate students have to complete courses and dissertation required in educational plan to graduate on time.
If students complete the educational plan in advance and publish at least 2 articles in first-class academic journals as first writer (If the supervisor is the first writer, the graduate student must be the second writer according to final confirmation)
If students can not complete the courses, research tasks or dissertation defense within the required time under special circumstance, students need to apply for extension three months in advance. The application needs to be signed by supervisor and agreed by the college, then the application will be submitted to the Graduate Students Department of Wenzhou University. The whole program generally will not be longer than 4 years.
四、课程设置及学分要求 Curriculum and credit requirements
硕士研究生的课程分为学位课程、非学位课程和必修环节三个模块。工程硕士研究生应修总学分不得少于32学分,其中学位与非学位课程不少于26学分,实践环节6学分。
1、学术报告及学术交流
工程硕士研究生在学期间应参加学术活动或听取学术报告的次数一般不少于5次。每次活动均要求写出书面报告或总结,经导师签字后自己留存,在申请论文答辩时一并交学院。
2、实践环节
机械工程硕士学位留学研究生应完成专业实践和社会实践能力培养环节。指导教师应对留学研究生实践实行全过程的管理,确保实践环节培养质量。工程实践结束后研究生应在校外导师指导下完成《机械工程硕士学位留学研究生总结报告》。
3、免修课程
研究生通过自学或其它学习途径已掌握了本门课程的基本内容并达到其基本要求,经本人申请,任课教师同意,学院、研究生部批准后可免修,但需参加该门课程结束时的考试或在课程开始前单独组织的免修考试。
The total credits for Master students is no less than 34, including 28 for degree courses and non-degree courses, and 6 for compulsory practice.
1. Academic reports and exchanges
Graduate students in engineering major have to participate in academic activities and lectures no less than 5 times during the whole program. Students are required to give one written report for every activity mentioned above and get signature from supervisor. All written reports need to be submitted to the college in dissertation defense.
2. Engineering practice
Graduate students in engineering major should have practice in companies, institutions and other internship units no less than a half year to train necessary engineering skills. Supervisors will supervise the whole practice to ensure the quality. After the practice, students need to complete Engineering Practice Report under the guidance of extramural academic supervisor.
3. Course Exemption
Graduate students can apply to exempt some courses if the students have already know the content by self-study or other ways. With the permission of supervisor, college and Graduate Students Department, the application will be accepted. However, students still need to attend the finals or the exempt examinations of those courses.
